Pre Contract Earthworks Volumetric Analysis
Proposed Housing Development

We were comissioned by a consulting engineer to provide an earthworks cut and fill analysis to a proposed 200 plot development in Fife Scotland. The site was surveyed and this provided a base for the calculations. We were provided with all new proposed road setting out information as well as all levels for landscaping, SUDs syatem, pathways, play areas, house FFls and house external areas. This allowed us to build up a full 3D model of the site

By Analysing the construction depths of all ground material ( roads, paths, grass, car parking etc ), we were able to create a 3D model of the formation levels profile. By comparing this to the OGL survey model, we provided an accurate calculation of the earthworks cut/fill for the full development. The figures were separated into site phases and further broken dow into surface areas, eg roads, landscaping, houseplots etc. This exercise allowed the earthworks package to be offered out for pricing, assured that the bill of quantities figures were correct.
